Advocacy - Promoting the interests of older adults

As an advocate for older adults, Council on aging works to educate and inform elected officials. One of the most effective ways is to arrange for officials to visit our clients who are in the PASSPORT and Elderly Services Programs. The officials go to the clients' homes. They are accompanied by case or care managers and Polly Doran, Social Services Administrator/ESP Liaison and coordinator of our advocacy efforts. When officials see the programs in action, they understand the role and value of in-home services.
