Representative Dale Mallory to host Bed Bug Town Hall Meeting
State Representative Dale Mallory will host a Bed Bug Town Hall meeting, 5-7pm, August 19 at the Cincinnati-Hamilton County Community Action Agency, 1740 Langdon Farm Road.
When reports of bed bug infestations first surfaced in 2006, Council on Aging brought the issue to Representative Mallory. The first Bed Bug Town Hall meeting was held in 2006. As Cincinnati rose to the top of many “most infested lists,” Rep. Mallory took the issue seriously, introducing legislation to raise awareness about the problem and helping to create the Cincinnati Bed Bug Task Force.
It has been six years since Representative Mallory hosted the first Bed Bug Town Hall meeting. While, some progress has been made, especially in education, infestations continue to plague our community, including seniors.
The August 19 Town Hall meeting will include discussion of a comprehensive strategy to eradicate Bed Bugs from Cincinnati, and ultimately the State of Ohio. Experts will also be present to help educate the public about best practices for eradicating Bed Bugs.
