Statement concerning lawsuit filed by Clinton County Community Action Program

On February 4, 2014, Council on Aging of Southwestern Ohio received notice that a lawsuit was filed in federal court in Cincinnati by Clinton County Community Action Program LLC and individuals claiming they were wrongfully denied access to home-delivered meals via the Clinton County Elderly Services Program.

Council on Aging denies any wrong doing and will defend itself in this lawsuit. Council on Aging believes that it has applied the home-delivered meals eligibility criteria in good faith, according to rule, and in the best interests of the senior citizens and taxpayers of Clinton County.
