Join COA in May to celebrate Older Americans Month
In May we join the Administration for Community Living, the Ohio Department of Aging and organizations across the US to celebrate Older Americans Month, a celebration established in 1963 to recognize older Americans for their contributions and demonstrate our nation’s commitment to helping them stay healthy and active.
This year’s theme, “Safe Today. Healthy Tomorrow.” focuses on injury prevention and safety to encourage older adults to protect themselves and remain active and independent for as long as possible.
Throughout the month, we will share tips, information and resources on safety, health and independence through our Facebook and Twitter feeds. We share similar resources and information year-round, so please follow us to receive these updates:
