Sharon Fusco has been honored by the Ohio Association of Area Agencies on Aging for her work developing price models for administering services that help frail seniors and people with disabilities remain independent in their homes.
Fusco lead a team of people who developed the price models which enable Ohio’s Area Agencies on Aging, including Council on Aging of Southwestern Ohio, to calculate the actual costs of their services. Armed with this information, the organizations – most of them non-profits – are better positioned to offer their skills and products to managed care health plans, hospitals, and other entities trying to deliver better care at lower costs.
Fusco is Director of Business Results and Innovation for Council on Aging, where she has worked since 2008.
The association honored Fusco and the team at its 24th annual conference on November 13 in Columbus.
