Help test app that keeps people with Alzheimer’s and dementia connected to loved ones

Researchers at the University of Cincinnati are looking for volunteers to test an Apple IOS app called HiLois!, which is designed to support and engage people with Alzheimer’s, other cognitive impairments or anyone feeling distanced from the people in their lives.
The app creates a “closed” (individualized) social network where family members can easily share messages and photos from their Apple iPhones or iPads. The goal is to keep physically isolated family members engaged, stimulated and connected to the rest of their family and friends.
The app's developers are looking for 40-50 volunteers to test an early version of the software and provide feedback. For your participation, you will be one of the first to better engage your loved one using this technology and your feedback will help finalize the design. Also, if you volunteer and are selected to participate, you will earn a free lifetime subscription for your loved one to HiLois! (dependent upon successful commercial launch of the app).
