Need to dispose of unwanted prescription drugs? Oct. 22 is RX take-back day
Tuesday, October 18, 2016
On Saturday, Oct. 22, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will host National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day in conjunction with local law enforcement agencies nationwide. Americans can safely dispose of unwanted prescription drugs, reducing the amount of expired or unused prescription drugs for illegal use or prescription drug abuse. At the last DEA-sponsored National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day event, the DEA and more than 4,200 of its partners collected 447 tons of unwanted drugs at nearly 5,400 sites around the country.
The event will be hosted in various communities across the country on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2016, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Click here to search for a drop off site near you.
