COA Advisory Council

Join the Advisory Council – Council on Aging is seeking new members for its Advisory Council. The Advisory Council gives voice to older consumers of services, people with disabilities and others involved in the field of aging. Members’ views are brought to the attention of the Board of Trustees and COA staff to bring about a collaboration of older citizens, people with disabilities, community agencies, and state and local governments. The Advisory Council meets four times a year. Members also attend 4-6 Board of Trustee committee meetings and are encouraged to help with advocacy and outreach. If you are interested in joining COA’s Advisory Council, click here to complete the online Prospective Members form. Elderly Services Program
The five counties in the COA service area have Elderly Services Programs that are funded by county tax levies. COA administers these programs under contracts with county commissioners in Butler, Clinton, Hamilton and Warren counties. In each of these counties, oversight is provided by citizens groups appointed by the commissioners. In Clermont County, the program is administered by Clermont Senior Services.
