COA launches new website

August 18, 2025

Council on Aging’s website at www.help4seniors.org has received a major update, the first in eight years.

COA partnered with the Live Well Collaborative at the University of Cincinnati to conduct research to learn how the site’s primary user groups prefer to receive information and their typical behaviors and preferences when navigating a website. Data from the research informed the design and functionality of the new site.

Website visitors will experience a website that:

  • Is visually in-line with the COA brand and follows inclusive design standards.
  • Provides an alternative navigation option using “cards” (clickable squares with a photo and text) for those who prefer a more visual way to navigate a website.
  • Offers a direct path for job seekers to access job information by including the Careers section in the main navigation.
  • Ensures the adherence to HIPAA requirements of information submitted through the website’s Referral and Contact forms by integration of a third-party application.

Database searches offer quick and easy way to find resources and housing

The website continues to offer its popular searchable resources and housing databases. Searching these databases offers a quick way to find housing options and services for older adults in Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Hamilton and Warren counties.

The resources database contains listings for services specifically for older adults, those with disabilities and caregivers. Examples include senior centers, in-home care services and health and safety resources. User-selected search results may be saved in PDF format for printing or sending by email.

The housing database contains detailed listings for housing options for older adults. This includes nursing homes, assisted living facilities, senior apartments and more. Users may save search results they select in PDF format and also may compare up to four different search results and save the comparison as a PDF. All PDFs may be printed or emailed.
