Billing

As a care management agency, Council on Aging meets the long-term care needs of individuals by helping them to identify options for care and by contracting with provider agencies to manage delivery of the right services, in the right amounts, at the right times.

Billing and payment are carried out according to COA-established schedules. COA trains providers in billing procedures.

CareDirector

Elderly Services Program (ESP) providers access a CareDirector Provider Portal to retrieve service authorizations and enter billing data. Providers must access the CareDirector Provider Portal using the following:

  • an internet connection
  • Internet Explorer version 11
  • a secure username and password

All providers received training on how to access and use the Provider Portal.  Click here to view the training materials. If you need any new staff logins created, or CareDirector support, please reach out to Provider Services.

WellSky Aging and Disability Solutions (formerly SAMS)

Title III providers collect and report data in the WellSky Aging and Disability Solutions platform as an integral part of the day-to-day operations for services funded by Title III. Billing is completed monthly in WellSky as outlined in the service specification for the services under contract with your agency.

Ohio Department of Aging Direct Data Entry

Providers for PASSPORT and the Assisted Living Waiver enter data for billing through and Ohio Department of Aging online Direct Date Entry (DDE) program. Training is provided by Council on Aging. To view the training modules*, click on the links below.
