From time to time, Council on Aging (COA) issues Requests for Proposals (RFPs), a competitive process, for services delivered directly to, or in support of, eligible older adults and people with disabilities.
These services are funded by a variety of sources, including federal funding and local tax levies. Any organization that plans to bid on federally funded services must have a Unique Entity ID issued by the federal government at www.SAM.gov. More information about this requirement is included below and in the related information on the right.
COA may advertise open periods for RFPs on this website, through social media and in local media outlets.
Detailed information about open RFPs will be available here, on COA’s website. This will include information about relevant programs and services, the RFP process, timeframe and requirements. Depending on the funding source for the RFP, the competitive process may vary with each RFP.
Council on Aging typically issues RFPs for services available through Title III of the Older Americans Act (federal funding), or locally funded Elderly Services Programs (local tax levies).
