Extreme Heat Warning in effect in southwestern Ohio until July 2, 2026 at 8 p.m.
Those 65 and older are more susceptible to heat-related illness than others. During especially hot weather, like we are experiencing now, older adults are encouraged to take precautions to stay safe during the heat.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention offers these tips for older adults and their caregivers to stay safe in extreme heat.
Cooling centers
If you don’t have air conditioning, consider visiting a cooling center during the hot daytime hours.
