How to Print your Search Results

Applying for Social Security

To meet the needs of millions of baby boomers who are becoming eligible for retirement at a rate of 10,000 a day for the next 20 years, the Social Security Administration (SSA) accepts applications online.

For more information and to apply, go to www.socialsecurity.gov and click on "Apply for Retirement." 

You may also contact your local Social Security Office for applications and assistance.

All Social Security benefits are now deposited directly into your bank account or onto a pre-paid debit card. Paper checks are no longer mailed. Click here to learn more about these services.
