Suport Council on Aging in the Cincinnati Gives Challenge!
Council on Aging of Southwestern Ohio (COA) is among more than 90 local non-profit organizations joining Cincinnati Magazine's 2016 Cincinnati Gives Challenge. The crowd funding challenge begins at 12 p.m., November 29, #GivingTuesday, and continues through December 27.
Donations to COA will support programs that provide in-home care services to frail seniors throughout our region, such as home-delivered meals, transportation to the doctor, wheelchair ramps, and help with housekeeping and bathing. These basic but critical services are not covered by Medicare and can make the difference between being able to remain independent at home or having to move to a nursing facility. The services supplement care that is provided by families or are a lifeline for seniors without family nearby to help them. Annually, nearly 13,000 older adults are able to remain in their homes with the help of these services.
Giving to COA is easy via the Cincinnati Gives Challenge. Beginning at Noon on Nov. 29, go to our Challenge Fundraising Page and click on the Donate button. You’ll also see a Donor Covers the Fees button which helps us even more if you choose to include the challenge’s transactional fees in your donation.
Thank you for your help making a difference for seniors in need!
