The American Urological Association Foundation partners with physicians, researchers, healthcare professionals, patients, caregivers, families, and the public, established to support and promote research, patient/public education, and advocacy to improve the prevention, detection, treatment and cure of urologic diseases.

The vision of the Foundation is to be the premier provider and resource for the most current, comprehensive, and reliable urologic health information for patients and the public.

Through offices nationwide, the NKF provides vital patient and community services, conducts extensive public and professional education, advocates for patients through legislative action and supports kidney research to identify new treatments.

Services are available for those receiving dialysis. Referrals must be made by social worker from the dialysis unit. The Medication Aid/Emergency Assistance Program offers financial aid for medication and other emergency needs. Liaison Services furnishes information, support and referral assistance to patients and their families. The Nutritional Supplement Program grants funds for nutritional supplements for patients in need. The Kidney Foundation also provides information and programs about health care and organ donation to the community and programs to help kidney professionals stay up-to-date on all aspects of kidney health care and organ transplantation.

Publications about specific kidney and urologic diseases, provided free of copyright, in varying reading levels. Available online or as booklets and brochures. (See our Publications Catalog.) Program provides direct co-payment assistance for pharmaceutical products to insured Americans who financially and medically qualify. You must be diagnosed with and taking medication(s) for one of the following conditions: breast cancer, lung cancer, lymphoma and cutaneous t-cell lymphoma, prostate, kidney, colon, pancreatic, head/neck cancers, malignant brain tumor, sarcoma, diabetes, multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndrome (and other pre-leukemia diseases), osteoporosis, pain, hepatitis C, rheumatoid arthritis, selected autoimmune disorders.

For people with certain medical conditions. Helps you pay your drug co-pays if you have insurance or helps to pay your monthly premium if you are eligible for insurance but cannot afford the premiums (including your Medicare).

You must be diagnosed with Acute Porphyurias, Ankylosing Spondylitis, Asthma-Moderate to Severe, Bone Metastases, Chemotherapy Induced Anemia/Chemotherapy Induced Neutropenia, Cutaneous T-Cell Lymphoma, Head and Neck Cancer, Immunosuppressive Treatment for Solid Organ Transplant Recipients, Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura,  Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, Post Menopausal Osteoporosis, Psoriasis, Psoriatic Arthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Secondary Hyperparathyroidism, or Wilms` Tumor.  The HealthWell Foundation is always seeking new funding to support additional diseases, so check our site often for an updated list.
