The Butler County Elder Safety Task Force has organized a series of Elder Abuse Awareness Forums so that community members can learn how to identity, report and prevent elder abuse, which includes physical abuse, emotional/verbal abuse, sexual abuse, neglect, self-neglect, and financial exploitation. It is estimated that only 1 in 23 cases of elder abuse is reported to authorities. There will be resource tables with valuable information for seniors.
